At Perletta we are always busy developing new colours.&nbsp;Of course we do this with great care. We look around us and take into account the materials with which we and many other people like to surround ourselves.&nbsp;This creates a colour palette that allows for countless combinations, a colour palette with which we can easily create a lively interior.The colour palette for our hand-woven rugs for 2022/2023 is divided into six colour groups of six colours each.&nbsp;Shades of green, red, blue, yellow, grey and warm nature. A total of 36 colours so that there is a suitable colour for every interior.<h3>Colour trends</h3>In general, we see many neutral shades, the so-called non-colours and half-tones. The darker colours are increasingly coming back as accent colours and are less frequently used in abundance.Harmonious soft colours, delicate tones of blue, rouge and yellow provide a calm, earthy approach.Bluish tones are returning to the interior, some even speak of "light blue the new grey". Perletta's Dusk 475 colour is light, airy and optimistic. This light shade of blue combines well with earthy tones and materials such as wood and dark steel.Grey and beige tones with a hint of colour have the ability to adapt to their surroundings. Looking at the colours at different times during the day gives a range of beautiful shades where beige tones can appear reddish and with grey tones a green glow can appear.The strength and beauty of colour is reflected in our colour palette for 2022/2023.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The event was well attended by many companies from the interior design industry and the atmosphere was pleasant, enthusiastic and convivial.As a result of the previously renewed colour palette, we developed rugs with colour gradient. During Destination: Design we presented our new Roundabout Fade rugs for the first time. Fade is a new design for our handwoven rugs. A sophisticated play of colours creates a surprising effect. The design consists of several colour strips that flow into each other, creating a simple rhythm. Each strip consists of a very carefully selected mix of colours. Each design incorporates colours from a specific colour group. Well, that's a good thing! Here we explain step-by-step how the production process of our rugs is set up and how we get to the beautiful finished product.<h3>Wool&nbsp;</h3>This beautiful natural product is the basis of our rugs. Wool has many advantages: it has a long lifespan, is dimensionally stable, self-cleaning, durable and gives a beautiful, natural look to the rug. The wool we use originates from New Zealand. The sheep here are known for their extremely fine wool structure. In addition, this wool has a white colour. This makes the paint adhere better and we can deliver our carpets in a multitude of colours! After the sheep have been sheared, the wool is sent to Morocco in large packages. In a town near Rabat the whole production process takes place.<h3>Colours</h3>Once arrived in Morocco, the wool is unpacked and pulled apart to form wool flakes. These wool flocks are then dyed in various colours in large dye baths. As few chemicals as possible are used for the dyeing. Experience has shown that blended carpets fit in better with various interiors than the plain coloured carpets. For this reason, our colour numbers always consist of a mixture of various colours. First, the dyed wool flakes are selected by hand according to fixed colour recipes and mixed in a machine. The mixed wool flakes then end up on a belt where the yarn is made.<h3>Washing</h3>After the yarns have been made, they are washed three times at 90 degrees. This way the wool shrinks around its jute core. This gives more grip to the wool and makes sure that the carpets are less fluffy, because of course nobody wants that! After washing, the yarns are hung up to dry well.<h3>Technique</h3>When the yarn is dry, the rug can be woven. This is also the technique that is used in Morocco. It is a centuries-old tradition to manufacture rugs in this way. According to the local culture, the rugs are woven exclusively by women, by hand. The thickness of the yarn (we use three), the way it is The thickness of the yarn (we use three), the way it is fed into the loom (the technique) and the distance of the warp threads determine the appearance of the rug. Depending on the type and size of the rug, it is woven by one or two people. The more complex the technique and the larger the rug, the longer it takes to weave the rug.<h3>Finishing</h3>When the rug is woven it is cut from the loom. After finishing, the rugs are rolled out and any unevenness is removed or repaired.<h3>New destination</h3>When the rug passes the inspection, it is packed in two layers of biodegradable plastic. It is then transported by truck to the Netherlands. Once they arrive in our warehouse, the packages are checked and the rugs are sent to you our dealers so they can deliver them to you. Because of the multifaceted nature of the production process, it is hopefully clear why making a customised rug in any colour and the associated transport takes approximately 6 weeks.&nbsp;&nbsp;

We see blue tones coming back more and more into interiors, some even say light blue is the new grey.Blue radiates tranquillity and gives a reliable feeling and therefore fits perfectly into a time when we are looking for safety and security.<h3>Looking back at the past</h3>A world in full motion with technical developments that we can barely keep up with makes us look back to the past. Classic designs and materials such as marble, velvet and high-gloss varnished wood are once again gaining popularity and can be perfectly added to our modern interiors.&nbsp;&nbsp;

They have redesigned the interior of the Ronald McDonald House in Nijmegen.In the Ronald McDonald House Nijmegen, parents, brothers or sisters of children who are admitted to the Radboudumc Amailia children's hospital stay. Here they stay day and night, a short distance from the hospital bed. To read a story. To give them a night kiss. Or for the moment when every second counts. When redesigning the rooms, the interior designers of Thoben &amp; Minten have created atmospheric resting places where guests feel at home and can retreat. In addition to its beautiful, natural look, wool also has many good properties.Under the right conditions, wool can be completely recycled. We use wool from New Zealand for our woollen yarns. This wool has a unique white colour and therefore absorbs dyes better, allowing us to supply our rugs in many modern colours. The fibres of this sheep are longer and coarser, which makes the rugs less fluffy and more durable.The wool fibre is naturally elastic and curly. This allows it to return to its original shape after being walked on. This ensures that your wool rug will always look good.Thanks to the hook-like structure of the fibre and its low static electricity, wool is more resistant to dirt than many other fibres. This makes a wool rug easy to maintain and less likely to get dirty.Another important property of wool is that it only ignites at very high temperatures, because it is a fire retardant fibre. Wool doesn't drip or melt, it carbonises. A spark from the fireplace, for example, only causes a scorch mark that can be easily removed.Wool is also a natural and renewable fibre. Wool also has a natural fat layer that makes it dirt repellent. Thanks to all these properties, your Perletta rug will last a long time.
